THE FACE BEHIND SLIP
JD’S PORTFOLIO
Hi, I’m JD
I’m deeply passionate about creating unforgettable moments and cultivating a community within the music & events industry. I thrive when providing seamless experiences that build strong relationships. I look forward to bringing people together, solving problems on the fly, and finding creative solutions that drive results.
I have a Bachelor of Creative Technology (Audio Engineering & Sound Production) from JMC Academy.
Beyond academics and professional pursuits, I indulge in Melbourne's vibrant coffee culture (a long black is my go-to!), love exploring record stores, and eating good food. I also channel my passion for music and arts into curating immersive experiences at SLIP Music and Arts, where I strive to blend diverse musical influences and create genuine connections.
MY 9-5 LIFE
I’m currently working in Marketing & Functions at Glamorama Bar. Between my studies and dancing with SLIP, I have over 2 years experience as an Account Manager & Strategist where I provided exceptional service and guidance to clients, leveraging insights and strategic thinking to drive growth in property portfolios. I also have experience as an Associate at NAB, creating a strong analytical background and a keen understanding of business insights to fuel success across diverse industries.
Why SLIP?
I embarked on this journey driven by a passion for cultivating a vibrant and inclusive community.
My motivation to start SLIP stemmed from a desire to foster an environment where music lovers could re-connect with one another and genuinely immerse themselves in a night out.
SLIP represents more than just a brand; it's a commitment to curating spaces that prioritise connection and creative expression.
Whether through intimate gatherings, large-scale productions, releases, mixes or radio shows each SLIP creation is meticulously designed to champion the music and the culture.
